On 11 June 2026, senior leaders and stakeholders of the Northern Cape Department of Education gathered at the Kimberley Club Guest House in Kimberley for the Education Systems for Instructional Performance (ESIP) Validation Workshop, following the completion of the ESIP diagnostic process.
The workshop provided an opportunity for participants to review and validate key findings from the diagnostic assessment, assess the feasibility of proposed recommendations, and identify priority areas for institutional strengthening. Discussions focused on six critical workstreams, including Strategy, Finance, Organisational Structure, Technology, End-to-End Processes, and People Capability and Organisational Culture.
The engagement also fostered collective ownership of the reform agenda, enabling leadership to align on high-impact interventions and implementation priorities. The outcomes of the workshop will inform the finalisation of the ESIP report and support the next phase of organisational improvement aimed at strengthening institutional performance and improving educational outcomes in the province.
