Last week, from 22–24 July 2026, Circuit Managers from across the Limpopo Province gathered at the Karibu Hotel in Burgersfort for a focused re-orientation session under the Limpopo Learning Improvement Programme (LLIP).
The focus was on managing change and the pivotal role Circuit Managers play in driving GET Phase improvement.
Re-Orienting for Impact. Transformation in education doesn’t happen by chance—it happens through deliberate leadership. Over three intensive days, Circuit Managers stepped back from daily administrative routines to re-examine their role as strategic leaders of change.
The retreat focused on embracing Change Management by shifting from administrative oversight to proactive change leadership across circuits and schools through a reflection on current practice (Successes and bottlenecks with a view to seek solutions and ways of sustaining what is good practice within the current system aligning circuit-level support directly to General Education and Training (GET) goals to unlock foundational performance.

With a refreshed strategic focus, our Circuit Managers left Burgersfort re-energized to guide school heads, departmental heads, and educators through the next phase of the LLIP.
As we move into the second half of the year, the groundwork laid last week will ensure our circuits operate not just as administrative hubs, but as catalysts for sustained learning improvement.
