Now is the opportune time to gather the best efforts to improve reading, this was the clarion call from National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) CEO Godwin Khosa during the official launch of the National Reading Coalition (NRC).
At the offices of Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA), in Sandton, the National Education Collaboration Trust announces the recommitment by its founders – government, private sector, teacher unions and civil society – to support the initiative to improve education in South Africa for a further five years.

The historic event, held on 11 March, was a national Education NGO Leadership Summit for NGOs convened by the National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT); the delegates took stock of their roles in implementing the National Development Plan (NDP), as well as their operational circumstances and sustainability.
